What Every Rental Listing Needs

February 2, 2015

In order to get prospective residents to come look at your available units, you need to be able to get the word out there. The rental market is hopping, and you need to find a way to stay ahead of your competition, so that you can attract the very best residents to you complex. Creating an eye-catching listing is a great way to accomplish this, but not every complex knows how! That is why our talented temporary leasing agents have come up with this list of what to include in every unit listing you create:

  • Picture- No matter how well you describe the unit, people love to be able to see things for themselves. However, using any old picture up just won’t do. Read our previous blog on how to take expert photos for your listings to learn how to do it right.
  • Basic specifications of the unit- In our society, people learn a lot from the internet, and if there isn’t enough information about the unit in question, they will just move on rather than calling to learn more. That is why you need all of the basic specifications in your listings, including unit size, number of bedrooms, number of bathrooms, included appliances, etc.
  • Complex specifications- Not only is it a good idea to give lots of info about the unit, but you should also give plenty of info about the building as well. Talk about parking, where the laundry room is at, what kinds of pets you accept, etc.

For more information about what you should include in every rental listing, please stay tuned for our next blog.
