Many companies and organizations are making an effort to raise money for charitable causes this holiday season.  We highlighted a few last week and I wanted to share an additional company that orchestrated their efforts via Facebook. set a goal of raising $25,000 to help end homelessness in Chicago by donating $1 to the Chicago Coalition for the Homeless for every new like they accrued on their Facebook page.  The original plan was to run the fundraising event for the month of November, but decided to extend the event to include the month of December as well.  Homelessness is extremely prevalent in Chicago, as well as many cities nationwide, and it was estimated that over 100,000 people were homeless in Chicago last year.

At the time this was written the number of likes on Facebook page was just over 31,100, so here is the link for their page and I strongly encourage every person to like their page.  It’s costs nothing to help contribute to this cause and your single like will help contribute to making someone else’s holiday season slightly better this year.
