Expert Tips on Photos in Listings

January 17, 2015

Did you get a chance to read our last blog yet? If you did then you already know how important it is to put professional photos into your listings. We also talked about a couple of things that you do to make your photos look better, like taking photos of the apartment while its empty and utilizing a lot of light. A big part of our leasing services is helping you to get potential residents through the door, which is why we have come up with even more tips on putting photos into your listings:

  • Maximize the opportunity- Many websites will only allow you to upload a certain amount of photos, and if they don’t, there is no reason to put an excessive amount of photos up anyway. Pick and choose the very best of the bunch to show to the world, but make sure you get at least one photo of the living room, the bathroom, the kitchen, and each bedroom. If you have more space available for photos, try to hit the best amenities in your community, like the pool, the gym, etc. It is also a good idea to take photos of the things that make your apartment complex different, like a dog park or a communal fire pit.
  • Take photos from many different angles- The more angles you capture, the more likely you are to end up with at least one photo that you will love. Don’t be afraid to take lots of photos from many different angles: crouch and stand, take pictures from every side of the room, and at different times of the day.
